When thousands of high school seniors found out the good news that they were admitted to UC Davis’ class of 2024, many undoubtedly checked their calendars to see when they could visit campus. But because of shelter-in-place directives related to the coronavirus, the annual Decision UC Davis on campus was not possible this spring.
Enter Aggie Experience Live!, a weeklong series of events taking place from April 6-10, at 3:30 p.m. each day.
HOW TO WATCH
Aggie Experience Live! videos will be presented at 3:30 p.m. each day this week. Watch on Facebook or Zoom. The topics:
- Monday — Campus communities
- Tuesday — Financial aid
- Wednesday — Housing and dining
- Thursday — Student Life
- Friday — Academics and colleges
Think of it as a virtual open house, with opportunities to explore campus communities, learn about financial aid and scholarships, tour residence halls, and all the other things incoming students and their families want to learn about at UC Davis.
Many of the sessions and webinars are interactive, with Katerina “Kat” Kountouris ’14 acting as host. Attendees will participate in polls, watch interviews with panelists, be able to ask questions of UC Davis experts and see dynamic video of campus highlights.
Prospective students also will hear from current Aggies — students, faculty and staff — who share what it’s like to be part of UC Davis’ many communities, as well as give insights on the academic colleges, how to get involved in undergraduate research, what kinds of global education experiences are available…the list goes on!
“We’re going to try to give you everything you need to make the right decision,” Chancellor Gary S. May said of the event. “And we hope that decision is to come to UC Davis and be an Aggie.”
