From college prep to paycheck

We want to make sure your college jobs and internships help you develop your career goals and prepare you for the profession you want.

Our best advice: Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, be strategic from the start of your UC Davis education. Visit the Internship and Career Center early and often.

And, while there looking for jobs and internships, mark your calendar for our career fairs and check out our services for résumé writing and interview skills.

Pairing students with employers

We will pair your interests, whether in research, scholarship or creative activities, with opportunities to test the direction you want to go in a career.

Did you know that 80 percent of our undergraduates participate in internships? Graduate students also prepare for careers beyond academia in paid internships and workshops on practical job skills.

Our advisers at the Internship and Career Center will work with you to find employers on- and off-campus so you can develop the skills and experience you will need for your dream career.

Securing jobs after graduation

When it comes time to seeking a job after graduation, UC Davis makes things easy. More than 3,000 company recruiters — including Apple, Amazon.com, Wells Fargo, DuPont and Genentech — post positions at UC Davis to look for bright, talented people just like you.

Interview and résumé preparation

The Internship and Career Center helps you write résumés tailored to each prospective position, and we help you prepare for the interviews. You can record mock interviews to see for yourself how you might do. Our advisers will work with you to improve so you are ready when it counts.

You may even have your first interview right here on campus: More than 500 company recruiters visit UC Davis each year to hire Aggies.
