The Everbridge Mobile App is among the ways UC Davis sends out emergency notiications.

Updated Jan. 27 — This article was updated below to correct the number that parents, vendors and others without a UC Davis email address would text to UCDALERTS to opt in to receive text only messages from the Davis campus. It is 888777.

The campus is scheduled to test its WarnMe emergency notification system on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at noon.

In the second of three regular tests for the academic year, the campus will send alerts by text message and email to faculty, staff and students, and others who registered on their own. The message will also be distributed to campus subscribers to the Everbridge Mobile App and posted to UC Davis' official Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Students and employees are automatically registered to receive alerts through their campus email. You can add other contact information including personal email addresses and mobile numbers. Verify and update your contact information on the WarnMe website. Select the link: “Edit my WarnMe information now!”

Parents, vendors, contractors and others can sign up to receive text notifications only for the Davis campus by texting UCDALERTS to 888777.

Available to those with a UC Davis email account, the Everbridge Mobile App can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play and set up to receive UC Davis messages.

The Sacramento campus will conduct a simultaneous but separate WarnMe test. It will not include social media or the Everbridge Mobile App.
