* Oct. 17, Wednesday -- Timothy C. Draper, founder and managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, will speak on "Venture Capital and the Entrepreneur: After the Dust Settles" at a Sacramento event of UC Davis' Graduate School of Management. Draper Fisher Jurvetson has invested in more than 150 companies in such segments as Internet and intranet applications and services, semiconductor designs, telecommunications and networking software. Draper will address members of the management school's Business Partners program, and media are invited to cover the by-invitation-only event. The breakfast meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m. with Draper speaking shortly after 8 a.m. It will be held at the Vizcaya Pavilion, 2019 21st St.
