Ticket sales for Chancellor Gary S. May’s upcoming colloquium with UC Regent and former astronaut José Hernández were so “out of this world” that the Nov. 28 event had to be moved to a larger venue.

The free colloquium, which starts with a screening of A Million Miles Away, the movie based on Hernández’s life, and ends with a Q&A session between the two engineers, will still be held at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. But it has moved to Jackson Hall, which adds more than 1,000 available seats to the total capacity.

Tickets in the original venue sold out within a day.

Tickets to the relocated event are available online now, and each attendee can now reserve up to four tickets — up from the previous one-per-person policy.

Read more about Hernández and reserve tickets on the colloquium webpage.
