Microsoft Vice President to Speak

* Nov. 19, Friday -- Steve Guggenheimer, vice president for Worldwide Small Business and Business Operations at Microsoft Corporation, will speak to students about career paths at Microsoft. His talk will begin at 2 p.m. in the Cabernet Room of the Silo Union on the UC Davis campus and will be followed by a reception with students. Guggenheimer graduated from UC Davis in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in applied physics. He joined Microsoft in 1993 and has held a number of positions in the company. He is currently responsible for worldwide sales and marketing strategies directed at small businesses. His visit to campus is sponsored by the Division of Mathematical and Physical Sciences Dean's Office.
