Oct. 28, Tuesday -- Byron Shafer, a professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin and one of the most astute students of the coalitions that make for presidencies and Congressional majorities, will assess whether the 2008 election will show us a new electoral map and why. The talk is free and open to the public and will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. in room 2203 of the Social Sciences and Humanities Building at UC Davis. Seating is limited, so please arrive early.
