THE DOWNLOAD: Sweet Potato Leaves, Football, Chemistry

A UC Davis graduate student traveled to Ethiopia recently to try to convince farmers and other residents to adopt a new food source: sweet potato leaves.

The leaves are commonly used as livestock feed, but are rarely eaten "due to ingrained food habits and lack of knowledge," according to the Horticulture Innovation Lab.
