Jan. 14, Wednesday -- Two entrepreneurs will pitch their companies to a panel of four start-up experts and so demonstrate what entrants in the Big Bang! Business Plan Competition at UC Davis will face. Now in its fourth year, the competition is organized by MBA students of the Graduate School of Management to promote entrepreneurship. The winning team takes home $10,000. Representatives of Ignite Logic in El Dorado Hills and Eyetools in San Francisco will present their ideas to the panelists, who will give advice on improving pitches for potential investors. Also speaking at the event will be Andrew Hargadon, an associate professor in the management school and author of "How Breakthroughs Happen: The Surprising Truth About How Companies Innovate." The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in MU II of the Memorial Union on campus. For more information, visit http://bigbang.gsm.ucdavis.edu/. To attend, RSVP to bigbang@ucdavis.edu.
