Aggie Alert: Stay Away from First and B Streets Area

City of Davis police and fire departments have declared the hazardous material situation at 123 B St to be safe. Traffic may still be affected in the area of First and B streets.

Update at 2:10 p.m.

The campus community is advised to stay away from the First and B streets area in Davis where city and campus fire and police departments are responding to a hazardous materials incident.

The incident at the Best Western University Lodge Motel, 123 B Street, is affecting traffic in the city on the eastern edge of the campus.

B Street is closed from First to Second streets, and there is limited access between Second and Third streets. Rice Lane is also closed.

First Street remains open.

Initial posting

UC Davis has issued an Aggie Alert notification advising the campus community to stay away from the First and B streets area on the eastern edge of campus in Davis.

The City of Davis police and fire departments are responding to a hazardous materials incident.

The Aggie Alert was issued at about 1:30 p.m.
